“Dawn’s life story has impacted me in many ways. It’s shown on a much grander
scale how it is to survive bad situations in one's youth. It has taught me that even when
things seem like there is no hope you still have a lot of time to try and fix things. Her story
was nothing less then inspiring. Not only that, but it showed me things to stay away from
and how a few decisions can change the course of your life.
She is able to display a multitude of messages that we have all taken to heart. As a youth
group it has helped our moral evolve. As a group of friends it has brought us together to
share thoughts, ideas, and life goals. It has made us appreciate what we have and has truly
impacted our decision making and views on life. I am sure we are not an anomaly.
People should hear her story because it has such a multitude of things you can take from
it. It’s a story that is heartwarming, painful, inspiring and something that lets you step back
from your life to look at someone else’s and give thanks for what you have.”

“Dawn’s adventures and experiences are inspiring to the youth of today. And I feel as an
individual they have affected me in a positive way. Dawn is an amazing woman. Her
strength and will power should be shared with as much of the public as possible.”

“Dawn’s forthright in telling her tale is amazing. In a no holds barred roller coaster ride
that doesn’t take a break to cry, or to feel sad, there is simply no time for it. The value of
this story to others is unquestionable.”

“Dawn’s story is extremely inspiring. Her life wasn’t a great one as a teen, but she pulled
through. Going through abuse from her parents, most people would
have given up. She fought her way through high school even when she could have just
stopped going.”
—Matt S., age 14

“I’m usually classified as not the emotional type. However when Dawn came to speak to
us, it was truly inspiring. The hardships she endured and the things she saw made me
thankful for what I have and inspired me to look at my own decisions more carefully.”
